Hanging your lights, not selling you ours

Plenty of holiday lighting companies only work with their own product on a rental model, and the cost of that adds up in a hurry. We hang what you already have. If you've been collecting strands for a decade and you know exactly which ones go where, that's what goes up. If some of it has finally quit, we'll tell you what's dead before it's on the roof rather than after, and you can pick up replacements. Simple, and it means the lights stay yours.

Roofline, gutters, and the parts you can't reach

The reason people hire this out is height and footing. A roofline in December, on a ladder, on cold ground, is the single most dangerous hour a homeowner spends all year, and every winter emergency rooms around here fill up with proof. We use plastic clips designed for gutters and shingle edges — never staples or nails, which put holes in fascia and shingles that leak long after the lights come down. Porch columns, railings, bushes, and wrapping the trunk of a front tree all get done the same visit.

Plugged in, timed, and actually working

A run of lights that only works when somebody remembers to flip a switch stops getting used by New Year's. We check the circuit can carry what's on it, keep runs within the manufacturer's limit on how many strands can connect end to end, get everything on an outdoor-rated timer or smart plug so it comes on at dusk by itself, and hide the cords along the run rather than draping them across the porch. Then we stand in the street with you and look at it before we pack up.

And we come back to take it down

The part that gets forgotten in July is January. Takedown is part of the job, not an upsell — we come back after the holidays, get everything off the house, coil the strands so they aren't a knot next season, and box them where you want them stored. Booking early matters more for this service than any other thing we do: December has a fixed number of good weather days and they go quickly, so a call in October or early November gets you a real choice of dates.
