The job that's too small for movers
Moving companies are built around whole-house moves, and most of them have a minimum that makes no sense when all you want is a sleeper sofa carried up one flight of stairs. That's the gap we fill. A piano bench, a gun safe, a treadmill, an armoire, a fridge that has to come out so the floor underneath can be dealt with — these are all a flat price and usually well under a morning. You get a firm number before anyone shows up, not an hourly clock that starts when we leave our driveway.
Room to room, floor to floor
Most of our moving calls never leave the house. A bedroom is becoming an office. A rug needs to go under something that weighs three hundred pounds. A basement got finished and now the old couch has to come up the stairs it went down eight years ago. We bring straps, sliders, dollies and blankets, take doors off hinges when the opening demands it, and get things through without dinging the drywall or the stair rail. Older Cincinnati houses with narrow turns and low ceilings are the normal case here, not the hard case.
Loading, unloading and hauling out
We also load and unload rental trucks, trailers and PODS — packing them tight so nothing shifts on the drive — and we clear out basements, attics and garages that have accumulated for a couple of decades. If it's going out rather than staying, we can take it with us — see junk removal and haul-away, quoted flat by the load.
Appliances and the awkward stuff
Pulling a washer, dryer, range or refrigerator out for cleaning, a repair visit, or a floor replacement is routine work — done carefully, with the water and gas lines respected. We'll disconnect and reconnect a standard water line or dryer duct as part of the job. Anything involving a gas connection gets referred to a licensed trade instead of improvised, and you'll hear that on the phone.
