We repair leaking hose bibs, replace frost-proof spigots, and make sure your outdoor water supply is ready for the season. Before the first hard freeze it's worth having the hoses off, the shut-off valves found and closed, and the lines drained — a split pipe behind the wall costs vastly more than the visit that prevents it. Garbage disposals and sink drains

A disposal that hums but won't turn is usually jammed rather than dead, and a disposal that does nothing at all has often just tripped its own reset button underneath. Both are a few minutes of work, and neither needs a new unit. When one genuinely is finished — leaking from the body, or the grinding chamber has rusted through — we swap it for a new one and reconnect the drain and dishwasher line properly. On the drain side we clear slow bathroom and kitchen sinks, replace the P-trap and tailpiece when the old one is corroded or leaking at the joints, and re-seal a sink rim that's letting water under the counter. Anything past the trap and into the main line is a drain company's job with a drain company's equipment, and we'll say so rather than push a cable into it and hope.

A running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons a day. Most of the time the fix is a new flapper, fill valve, or flush-valve seal — work we can typically finish in about an hour.
